Conditional or Unconditional
Which of these covenants described above were conditional? Though Noah was required to ‘build an ark’ antediluvian, and Abraham was required to love his wife, and the Israelites needed to cover their lintels with blood, it is easy to see that God provided for and fulfilled all of the requirements. It is therefore to be noted that all of the ‘covenants’ are unconditional and are essentially restating the original covenant with Adam. Sadly, it is possible to not enjoy those benefits God has provided, as Adam and the Israelites discovered. But that does not negate the unconditional loving fulfillment of all of God’s promises, for they are ‘Yes and Amen!’ for all of you-manity.
