Humanity can be defined as all people. From Genesis 1:24-25 we see that God created all of the living animals “according to their kind”. Then in verse 25 He says, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness”. Thus humanity is of the god-kind, designed to live by the complete word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Not by the will of men, but by the will of God. We are therefore all children/offspring of God, made in his image and likeness. There is no distinction for color, race, gender or persuasion. All of humanity is loved by God. Humanity has been redeemed back to our original innocence through the finished work of Jesus Christ. All of humanity is included in Christ: in his death, his descent into sheol, his resurrection and his ascension. He restored our sight to see face to face with the Father. As we are all part of humanity, we can also define it as You-manity.
